(Honor/Loyalty, Madball) is a long time friend of the Abattoir...
We used to play daily on Globalserve's Quake Server eons back.
Jeff *will* be attending a BTM in the near future, but as it stands,
we've only met in person a couple times, the first was when Jeff
and his girl Kristie made a pit stop
at the "totally male, testosterone fogged Abattoir" on their way
through southern Ontario on vacation. Jeff's a pro power
lifter who uses Quake to "relax" after a hard day at the office,
his web site's chock-full of photos, and sorry ladies, he's taken!
We're told this about his play name; "Ah Madball. That name came
up when Clanmate <SS> and our respective women were attending
a heavy metal show at the famous NJ shore club, "The Stone Pony"
(...think Bruce Springsteen...). Anyway, I was playing under
the name Sasquatch at the time and between deflecting flying bodys
coming out of the mosh pit, I thought I needed a more aggressive
sounding name... after all, you don't often hear of a Sasquatch
killing anyone. So there was this flyer for another band
on the floor in front of us. I picked it up and pointed to the
name "Madball", a local hard-core band and declared on the spot
to all that this would furthermore be my Quake name."
The second time we met was at his wedding!
The third time we meet, we'll have to make sure there's room for
three!
